About

As the Assistant Director of Outreach and Health Promotion in the Counseling and Wellness Center, I manage and mentor a group of peer to peer health educators and am responsible for oversight of all health promotion programs delivered across campus by our department.  I approach my work through a public health model, aiming to build prevention programming that addresses health access and equity at every level of the ecology.  My background is in serving survivors of sexual, intimate, and gender-based violence, as well as general nonprofit work over the last several decades.  I came to WWU in 2019 excited to work together with student activists and educators to transform cultural concepts and individual practices related to sex, sexuality, relationships, and consent.  I bring experience related to facilitating collaborative process and project management, as well as a personal passion for contributing to a culture where we can expect to experience positive, pleasurable, thriving, equitable sexual and intimate relationships.  I believe in the power of relationship, play, agency, education, and culture in building individual and collective resilience.
