About

I am an organizational psychologist with research interests in allyship, inclusiveness, and socio-cultural factors affecting wellbeing. I focus on understanding how motivated dominant group allies can meaningfully contribute to the wellbeing of individuals from marginalized groups. This research takes a positive psychology lens to understand the ‘why’, ‘what’, ‘how’, and ‘so what’ of meaningful, effective, and sustained allyship. Using qualitative, survey, and experimental methods, this research explores how allies can utilize their strengths to become engaged as potential resources and committed partners for equity and inclusiveness. Accordingly, I study the motivations, developmental trajectories, allyship strategies, and impacts of allyship that is rooted in allies’ strengths and is geared to boosting the well-being of marginalized groups through equity and inclusiveness.
